As we get older, the opportunity for a girls night starts to decrease. With jobs, families and responsibilities we just don’t get together like we used to. So, when we finally coordinate schedules with our gal pals we have to spruce it up and make it special.
Rather than just picking up a bottle of wine or spiked seltzer (which are still fabulous) have fun and make some drinks together as a group. I have 4 super easy and yummy drink recipes that are perfect to sip while chatting about life and catching up!
Flirtini
Ingredients:
Vodka
Champagne
Orange liqueur (Cointreau)
Pineapple Juice
Raspberries
Ice
Directions:
At the bottom of a martini glass, muddle a few raspberries (basically smash them up). In a cocktail mixer full of ice, mix in 1/2 oz. Vodka, 1/2 oz. Orange Liqueur, 1/2 oz pineapple juice and 2 oz. champagne. Shake well. Pour into your martini glass. Garnish with another raspberry and enjoy!
* Fun tip: Get even more intricate and do a sugar rim. My tip for this is pour sugar onto a paper plate. Wet the rim of the martini glass with a little lemon juice and then tip rim into the sugar.
French 75
Ingredients:
Gin or Vodka (personal preference)
Lemon Juice
Simple Syrup
Champagne
Ice
Directions:
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, 2 oz. of vodka or gin, 3/4 oz. of fresh lemon juice, 3/4 oz of simple syrup and 2 oz. of champagne. Shake well. Pour into a champagne glass and garnish with a fun lemon twist!
This is one of my favorite drinks and something I order a lot at happy hours!
X Rated (This isn’t the official name – and this also was my signature wedding drink)
Ingredients:
X Rated Fusion Liquer
Champagne or Sprite
Directions:
This drink is so easy. It is literally just pouring a glass of champagne and a (big) splash of X Rated Liquer. If you have people who aren’t super big drinkers but still want the sweetness of this drink, they can use Sprite instead of Champagne. Serve over ice if using Sprite!
Ice Vodka (This drink is something my mom and I discovered over the summer and we didn’t know what to name it but it is SO easy and delicious)
Ingredients:
Sparkling Water – ICE Brand (flavor is up to you!)
Vodka
Directions:
This is one that is really easy to get different flavors because the ICE sparkling water has a big variety of options. Have your girls pick their favorite flavors and then mix the ICE sparkling water and vodka over ice. This drink is really something they can determine how much vodka they’d like depending on their strength preference.
*Don’t want to dirty up a bunch of cups? Take a few drinks out of the ICE bottle, then pour some vodka straight into the bottle. Shake and enjoy!
Like I said before, girls nights are too far and few between not to make them special. Who doesn’t love girl talking over a few cocktails? These are the perfect and easy go-to recipes that you and your friends will enjoy making almost as much as you’ll enjoy drinking!
Cheers!
