I am so excited to fully reveal our baby girls nursery! I thought I was a picky person before I got pregnant, but discovered a new level of that when decorating Beckett’s room. I guess it is true, we want everything to be absolutely perfect for our kids and all of the things I thought I wanted changed when we actually found out we were having a girl.
What I love most about the nursery are how unique the mix of acrylic and wicker is and the colors that we utilized throughout. I wanted to be able to play up the natural tones of the hard wood floor, which is where I thought to bring in wicker and natural wood in areas, but acrylic is very much my normal style and I knew I wanted an acrylic crib – so I wasn’t sure how the two were going to look together, but I am obsessed!
When I showed a picture to a friend she asked if we got everything from Pottery Barn – which was a great compliment, because that is where I originally saw a crib that I wanted, but the price tag was a bit too much, so we got creative and I think we created a very pottery barn styled nursery, without the luxury price. We did get a few things from Pottery Barn too!
Starting with all the crib details. We purchased this babyletto acrylic crib from Target (currently sold out – so I linked it on Amazon), but it was also available at Buy Buy Baby, Amazon and other retailers. Target had the fastest shipping available – so we chose that route. The bedding we got from this cute online store called Caden Lane. I fell in love with several of their patterns, but ultimately loved the one we chose for the colors. What is awesome about Caden Lane is they have a lot other things to match the bedding, so we were able to get a customized pillow and a changing pad cover! Lastly, this fluffy pillow is from Target too – although won’t actually stay in her crib when she is sleeping. I am obsessed with this floral decal and it was extremely easy to put on!
Moving over to our changing table – I wanted something that wasn’t huge, but knew I wanted it to be a dresser for extra storage. I of course, knew that Pottery Barn had an option with acrylic handles, already, but again, wanted to find something more cost efficient. We found this dresser from iKea and then purchased acrylic knobs from Home Depot, so we added those to the dresser ourselves. Here you can find the Etsy shop that did the laser cut sign for us!
Our rug is also from iKea and we love it because it ties in the mustard color that you see in the bedding.
The items that I still wanted to purchase from Pottery Barn were the curtains – we got the blush pink color and they are blackout so they will keep the room nice and dark. We also got the curtain tie backs and the curtain rod ends at iKea for another acrylic touch. We also got the chandelier from Pottery Barn – which I love because it doesn’t hang too low and is acrylic!
This glider is so comfortable and will be perfect for rocking Beckett. We got it from Buy Buy Baby in the Dove Grey color. Next to it, we have this acrylic table from Amazon and I was actually really impressed with the quality of this table – I am actually pretty obsessed with it. It is perfect for a night light and a space for me to have a drink while I am nursing. I actually might buy two more of these to use as night stands in our master bedroom. Beside that we have this adorable wicker vase and fake flowers from iKea. On the glider, we also have two blankets from Barefoot Dreams, a baby blanket and a blanket for momma.
Another acrylic touch are these shelves that I purchased from Amazon and we have these to put all her books. It is the perfect storage saver. The Flamingo artwork was a Hobby Lobby find and I just thought it was a fun and unique touch. I originally planned on making the nursery an all Flamingo theme, but decided on just a few touches here and there. Hence the CUTEST Flamingo rocker right below the book shelves.
On the walls we have this laser cut design I found on Etsy from Mod Wood Co. and I chose the fonts Daffodil in all caps for her first name and petunia light in all lower case for her middle name. We did a natural wood stain and white to tie in perfectly with the overall colors of the nursery. The customer service of this Etsy shop was top notch, too, so I highly recommend them!
Above the glider I got these prints from Caden Lane that exactly match the bedding and other details in the room and I had them custom framed by Smallwood Home. Both the laser cut and the frames we have hung up just using command strips because of how light weight they were!
Over the crib was the hardest part to pick out because I needed something that was going to make the Nanit Baby Monitor (blog post on this monitor soon!) not stick out so much – and I ultimately decided on these floral wall decal stickers. I originally thought I wanted paper flowers that would pop out from the wall, but was too picky on how realistic they looked. These decals were super easy to put on and had great reviews.
This room is my favorite room in the house now. I love to come in here and just sit and think about all the memories we are going to make in this room. I didn’t know I was going to love decorating a nursery so much, but it has brought me so much joy and I can’t wait to see our baby girl in her room!
We have a pretty awesome setup in the nursery closet as well and I wrote a post on it here.
